Breathe & Stretch: 4th Trimester and Postnatal session

Online class

Tuesday 1-1.45pm (30 mins breathing, stretches and gentle movement + 15 mins sharing time)

A weekly online lunchtime session for new and not so new parents that you can join from anywhere.

These session are my offer to your heart to let tiredness melt away, as your mind is soothed by friendly, familiar faces or voices. Half an hour of gentle breathing and safe stretches help you to connect to your new postpartum body’s sensations and find a moment of calm.

You can join from anywhere: with your screen off or on, from your phone, from your bed if you like, or from the park. While you’re nap trapped, feeding or rocking your newborn. And for those with older babies and toddlers, it’s the opportunity for a weekly check in during naptime, where you can take a few minutes of time for yourself - to be in your body and clear your mind.

We’ll end with 15 minutes of sharing time in circle. A space where you have the option to stay, listen and share if you want to, or perhaps rest a while knowing others are nearby.

Who is Breathe & Stretch for?

You are welcome to join from as soon as you've had your baby, because community is the meaning of mothering the mother.

Many of us spend the early days of motherhood without the village around us that we’ve gathered during life before babe and even in pregnancy. This welcoming sessions aims to hold the space for new and not so new parents to feel that continuity and support around them, while tending softly to hearts, minds and bodies.

New mums’ nervous systems are wide open, and need that delicate balance of protection and space to gently recalibrate while adjusting to life now and navigating matrescence.

What will we do in the online class?

Sessions will be 30 minutes and combine healing breathwork, gentle core and pelvic floor rehab and stretches and movements suitable for your postpartum body that you can do from anywhere - even in bed, on the floor, or outdoors.

After that, you’re welcome to stay for the last 1/3 of the session where we will all have the option to speak or stay silent, to share or to witness in community and love.
